So what exactly is Hypnobirthing?
Well, firstly, forget the stereotype of the stage-hypnotist!
With Hypnobirthing you will not be in a trance or a sleep state.
You will be fully aware and fully in control, but profoundly relaxed.
Hypnobirthing is a simple, logical and profound way of working with your body, preparing you for the birthing process.
By using deep relaxation, breathing techniques and antenatal education, you will be able to build a tool-kit to reduce fear and anxiety and ultimately make your birth a positive experience for you and your baby, no matter what type of birth you have.
Often referred to as "common sense birthing" Hypnobirthing is logical, simple and most importantly-it works!
In association with
My partner and I did the Hypnobirthing course with Susan over 2 days, where she came to our house and made us feel totally at ease. We learned lots of breathing techniques and visualisations and as we had Susan all to ourselves she was able to answer our endless questions we had about birth and what to expect, and as she is a midwife also, this was super helpful and very reassuring! Hypnobirthing really struck me as something every mama-to-be needs in their life, as it's just simple common sense and so obvious when you learn about the human body and it's capabilities!
One of the most valuable parts I found about hypnobirthing is the active role it gives
your partner. Now he feels a part of the pregnancy and has been given a much more important role throughout the birth, rather than just being a helpless bystander. As a result I also feel much more supported! Very much looking forward to meeting our little bean next month and feeling extremely positive and excited about the birth!
Thank you Susan!
I just wanted to let you know that our little one decided he couldn't hang on till Christmas and arrived 2 weeks early! I managed to do the whole thing without any pain relief ( not even gas and air!) and so have to thank you as there's no way I could have done that without the hypnobirthing techniques! They definitely worked and the whole thing was very calm.
